Weekly Alliance Duel

Day 3 – Age of Science

Weekly Alliance Duel

Day 3: Age of Science is all about pushing your alliance’s technological progress to the forefront in the Alliance Duel event. On this day, alliance members coordinate to maximize research output and earn as many points as possible by completing scientific research projects and boosting the Tech Power of their base. Success in Age of Science hinges on smart use of research speedups, careful pre-planning of long-term upgrades, and teamwork to ensure that major research completions occur during the event window. It’s highly beneficial to align Day 3 activities with the Tech Research phase of the Arms Race event (if active concurrently) to double-dip on rewards and points for every action.

Core Tasks (Age of Science)

The table below outlines the primary tasks for Age of Science day, the points awarded for each, and a brief explanation of how to accomplish them:

Icon Task Points (per action) Brief Description
Use 1-min Research Speedup 125 points per minute Use research speedup items (any type or duration) to accelerate your research projects. 125 points are earned for each minute of speedup used, so using a longer speedup yields more points (for example, a 5-minute speedup gives 625 points). It’s wise to save and deploy your research speedups on this day to rack up points quickly.
Increase Tech Power by 1 point 25 points per power Tech Power is increased by completing research at the Tech Center. For every 1 point of Tech Power gained (by finishing a research project and tapping the completed research icon), you earn 25 points in the event. Large research projects that grant hundreds or thousands of Tech Power will translate into hefty point gains for the alliance. Plan to complete big researches on this day for maximum impact.
Use 1 Valor Badge 600 points each Valor Badges (the blue medals used for Alliance Duel research upgrades) are precious resources. Using one Valor Badge to conduct research in the “Alliance Duel” section of the Research Center grants 600 points. It not only gives immediate points but also can unlock enhancements (like extra reward crates or point multipliers) for the event. Save up your Valor Badges and use them on this day for a significant boost to your score and long-term benefits.
Complete 1 Radar Mission 25,000 points each Finish a Radar mission via the Radar Station and collect its reward once completed. Radar missions are one of the highest scoring tasks on Age of Science day, worth roughly 25K points apiece. It’s ideal to have missions ready to collect (marked with a red dot) going into this day. Turning in multiple pre-completed radar missions when Day 3 starts can net a massive point surge for your alliance.
Buy a Pack containing Diamonds 30 points per 💎 Purchasing any bundle that includes Diamonds during this day grants extra points – each 1 💎 in the pack is worth about 30 points. If you plan to spend in-game (even on small packs), doing so on Age of Science can contribute to your alliance score (e.g., a pack with 1,000 diamonds yields ~30,000 points). This task is optional and mainly for spenders, but it can be a useful way to push points if needed.
Open Drone Component Chest (Lv.1–7) Varies by level Drone Component Chests opened from your inventory grant substantial points, increasing with the chest level. For instance, a level 1 chest gives around 2,200 points, while a level 7 chest grants about 1,620,000 points. The higher the chest level, the greater the reward. It’s recommended to save these chests and only open them on Age of Science day to capitalize on the huge point potential.

Preparation from Day 2

Setting up for Age of Science begins on Day 2 (Base Expansion). By preparing certain tasks ahead of time, you can hit the ground running when Day 3 starts:

  • Queue Long Research Projects Early: Initiate a long-duration research in the Tech Center during Day 2 so that it finishes on the morning of Day 3. This way, you can complete the research as soon as Age of Science begins and instantly earn a big chunk of points from the Tech Power increase. The same goes for any nearly-completed research – hold off on tapping “complete” until Day 3 to ensure those points count for this event.

  • Stack Radar Missions: On Day 2 (which doesn’t reward radar missions), work on radar tasks but do not collect them upon completion. Leave the completed missions with the red notification dot in your radar interface. By the time Day 3 starts, you can collect all these saved missions back-to-back for a massive point boost. Ideally, have the maximum number of missions ready (e.g., 10 missions) to potentially gain over 200K points right at the start of Age of Science.

  • Stockpile Valor Badges and Speedups: Refrain from using your Valor Badges or research speedups during Days 1 and 2 unless absolutely necessary. Accumulate as many as possible leading up to Day 3. Having a healthy reserve of research speedups will allow you to complete multiple research tasks quickly on the crucial day. Similarly, saving Valor Badges specifically to invest in Alliance Duel research on Day 3 means you’ll score the 600 points each and unlock helpful bonuses or extra chests that further propel your progress.

  • Don’t Open Drone Chests Early: If you’ve earned any Drone Component Chests in prior days (from other events or previous Duel rewards), resist the urge to open them on Day 1 or 2. Keep them in your inventory for Day 3, when each chest opened yields a significant number of points. This preparation ensures that you have a stash of high-value items to use when they count the most.

Strategic Tips for Maximizing Points

  • Focus on High-Impact Research: Prioritize research projects that grant a large Tech Power increase upon completion. You can check the expected Tech Power boost of a research by tapping the info (ⓘ) icon in the Tech Center before starting it. Finishing a research that gives a big power spike will translate into tens of thousands of event points when you collect it on Age of Science. If possible, target upgrades in your tech tree that offer substantial power gains and time their completion for this day.

  • Use Valor Badges Wisely: Alliance Duel researches that consume Valor Badges provide two major benefits: immediate event points (600 each) and permanent enhancements to your Alliance Duel capabilities (such as point multipliers or extra reward slots). Aim to spend your Valor Badges on the research upgrades that amplify your point income (for example, the “Dual Expert” tech which significantly increases points for all tasks). By doing so, you not only score points now but also make every future task more rewarding – a smart investment that pays off across the Duel event.

  • Synchronize with Arms Race: If the Arms Race daily event is active, coordinate your Day 3 actions with the Tech Research phase of Arms Race. For instance, use your research speedups and complete research projects during the window when Arms Race is also counting those actions. This way, each speedup or completion yields points in both Alliance Duel and Arms Race simultaneously, maximizing your rewards and efficiency. Planning around overlapping events is key to getting ahead without extra expenditure of resources.

  • Plan Both an Opening and a Finish: Thanks to good preparation, you can start Day 3 with a bang (for example, by turning in stacked radar missions and completing a big saved research right after reset). Keep that momentum by spacing out your use of speedups and research completions throughout the day, rather than exhausting everything at once. At the same time, plan for a strong finish: if the competition with the opposing alliance is neck-and-neck as the day nears its end, have some quick, last-minute tasks ready to go. This could mean initiating a few cheap Alliance Duel researches with leftover Valor Badges or opening any remaining high-level Drone Chests just before the daily event ends. A well-timed surge in points in the final minutes can be the deciding factor in securing the win for your alliance.

  • Coordinate Alliance Efforts: Communication is crucial. Rally your alliance members to prepare for Age of Science in advance – make sure everyone knows the key tasks of the day. Each member’s contribution counts, whether it’s completing just one research project or using a handful of speedups and Valor Badges. Encourage members to share their strategies too, such as alerting others when the Arms Race tech phase is active or when only an hour remains in the event so everyone can push together. Remember, Alliance Duel is a group endeavor; every point any player earns boosts the team’s total. A coordinated alliance that spreads out tasks and helps each other will score consistently high throughout the day, rather than relying on a few big spenders or heavy hitters.

💡 Age of Science is the day your alliance proves its technological might! With solid preparation and by leveraging every research opportunity, your team will gain a massive lead in points and tech growth – paving the way to victory in the Alliance Duel.
